So many people have come out saying that without Tiger Woods this year the season is lost and gold has lost the appeal but are these people just getting their UPS batteries in a very big knotted twist.

The Real People

It is safe to say that my dad is one of those “real golfers”, he plays whenever he has the time too and watches all of the majot tournaments but really has a dislike for Mr Woods and is there a reason for this?? Well I asked him and his opinion is that Tiger has brought in a lot of people that do not really care about the sport at all. I have to say that whenever I do (on the rare occassion) sit down and watch a bit of golf there is always some moron that shouts “Get In The Hole” whenever Tiger takes a shot and this doesn’t matter if it is physically impossible to get the putt or hole in one.

The Opinion Of The Other Golfers?

Something that I know annoys most serious golfers is that it doesnt matter if Tiger is dead last he will always be cheered more than the others which is very wrong. Something that has come of Woods being in the tour is that he has brought a lot of passion to the game with many newer players thinking him as a great role model (not sure they will now) but I think it is fair to say there are players out there that are more passionate.

Final Thoughts

I personally think that golf will see a lot less viewings this year which is a real shame as yes Tiger is a great player but the best, well it doesnt seem that way does it..

So get out those leisure batteries plug them into the trolley and get out there for a round of golf. It could be time to charge up those mobility scooter batteries and get down the course if you are a bit of an old timer.
