Today’s winning feature goes to this

Jessie & Woody Toy Story Birthday Party
submitted by Beth Kruse Creations!
What a cute party!

To stay away from a commercialized party, Beth focused on the cowgirl/cowboy idea.
She used a lot of bandanas, cow print, burlap,
jute, hay and yellow {Woody and Jessie
both have yellow in their outfits}. She also incorporated horses and horseshoes
into the decorations.

You did such a great job, Beth!

Thanks for your party submission. Congrats on being featured today!

PostHeaderIcon LumberJack & Jill Couples Shower!

This weekend’s winning feature goes to this
LumberJack & Jill Couples Shower
submitted by frilly milly events.
{Photography by ICG Photography.}
What a cool theme!

Because it was a couples shower, Trish wanted it to not only be feminine and dainty, but have a strong masculine presence as well. In order to do that she incorporated plaids and wildflower prints, manly bbq foods {burgers, baked beans, corn on the cob, etc.} in small packages {sliders, tiny baked bean pots, etc.}.

She had their engagement photographer take profile shots of the couple using a few old frames from Goodwill which she turned into silhouettes.

Great job, Trish!

Thanks for your submission! Congrats on being the winning feature!

Getting married is something major and so many people out there do it every year and all for very good reasons indeed. PostHeaderIcon How To Prepare Your Child’s First Birthday: Tableware, Games, Treats, And More

Birthdays are special events that you look forward to celebrate with your friends and families. There may be times though where we wish we could postpone the celebration for the next year especially if we can’t afford for the birthday party we have in mind. However, there are many ways to celebrate birthdays with a blast even if sky is not always the limit.

Anyway, if it’s for a celebration of a first day, we don’t need to be too extravagant about it if only for the fact that our baby at one year old still won’t be able to appreciate the preparations that we have made to celebrate his or her day. What should matter is that you’ve got some things wholeheartedly prepared for the occasion. So, here’s how you can actually get practical on the celebration:

Check out your tableware and see if they’re still good enough to use for the first birthday party. However, chances are that you would want to buy disposable birthday tableware so you don’t need to take care of the dishes later.

You can have a really nice themed birthday tableware complete with all birthday plates sets, table covers, table napkins, etc. In fact, you can actually come up with any theme you like for the party. The children would surely look forward to come to the party wearing their costumes.

Plan a few good birthday treats such as pastas , hotdogs, cake, balloons, marshmallows, finger foods, drinks, etc. If you’re going to serve dinner or lunch, you can cook two or three dishes to go with a few of those treats mentioned earlier. This means that you would need a few good plates that will serve as birthday party dinner plates or birthday party lunch plates.

Invite only a few close relatives, friends, neighbors and their kids . For a more personal touch, not to mention that it’s also cheaper, you may want to create the invitation yourself.

Plan out some party games where the kids can participate and enjoy.

Lastly, you have to remember that even though your child may not be able to appreciate the birthday celebration this year but in a few years from now, he or she will have the idea when he or she sees the birthday pictures . So you have to make sure that the camera and the batteries are ready so you can have pictures of the birthday celebration taken. If you can take videos with your camera, it’s also a good idea to capture those birthday happy moments.

Surely, you can’t wait to get your own hands on that birthday planning and preparation .

PostHeaderIcon Party Food Ideas – How To Come Up With The Best Dinner Party Planning For The Special Occasion

In any sort of party or occasion, you might find that food is one of the explanations why you’re attending one. Thus, if you’re to organize your own party, you must be ready to come up with the best ideas for party planning so that you and your visitors will enjoy the occasion far more. Now, what are the things that you need to take into consideration?

The first thing you will need to take a look at is the sort of party that you’ll be holding. Keep under consideration that the food you’re going to serve would depend on the party’s motif. Your party food ideas so would come from the kind of crowd that you will be catering to. One of the best ideas you can come up with is serving finger foods to your visitors. These foods are way simpler to consume, and that is why you shouldn’t forget having these on your menu.

As one of your jobs in party planning, make as many appetisers as you can so that your visitors will be in a position to enjoy as much food as they need. As for the other foods, you can serve the all-time favourites which include pasta, grilled pork, salad, steak and sandwiches. In addition to this, never forget the puddings, as your guests would actually enjoy eating these after having taken a full meal.

Another thing you will need to think about is preparing food that will not affect someone’s diet. You want to be sure that what you’re serving to your visitors is not that much dangerous to their diet. You can prepare a well balanced selection of foods, those that can be found on nutritional charts. Doing this will guarantee you that your visitors will really enjoy the food that you’ll be serving them, including the vegetarians. Now, if you’ll be catering to youngsters, you can take the food recommendations coming from the parents of your guests. Have them list every type of food that might cause allergy to their young ones so as to stop any issues with the meals that will be served in the occasion.

Now you have a lot of ideas for party planning under consideration with your dinner party, you must also think of the budget that you have for the party, and then you will know whether everything fits quite well. If it doesn’t, then you can resolve it by eliminating those foods that may seem redundant on your list. For more info, you can always go surfing and look for cheaper food concepts for the special occasion.
